  The place is highly overpriced and definitely not worth 74$ a night. Our room and especially the bathroom has definitely seen better days and is very run down. The toilet was smelly and the blanket was rather old. For 30-35$ this would be an ok choice, but not for 74$. We had many cheaper rooms that were more comfortable. The breakfast is alright and the staff is very kind though. If it were for them we would rate the place higher. (Even though the SIM card they got for us for 150 birr stopped working after only one day.) So I guess there are a lot better options to stay in Gondar, I don't understand why all the guidebooks rate it so high.

  Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and it's a beautiful place with great breakfast. WiFi 75% of time, very clean, hot water always, location is great. It is a little pricey for what it is though.

  Very charming place, with a common garden between all rooms. A small staircase leads to the restaurant deck, also very cozy and overlooks a valley. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed and lovely room, hot shower but I could use a more powerful water flow.
