::After making a prepaid booking through Jumia Travel, for which I paid $936, I needed to contact the hotel regarding transportation from the airport. I initially attempted to get a response from the hotel by using: 1) the email address listed on the hotel home page; 2) both of the two contact forms on the home page; 3) texting the phone numbers on the home page, and 4) messages through the hotel’s facebook page. Most of these methods were used more than once, over several days, and none of the lead to ANY kind of response from the hotel. At this point I was seriously wondering whether the hotel was even in operation, and therefore contacted Jumia customer service, who assured me that the reservation was OK, and provided me with the personal mobile phone number and email of the manager. I wrote an email to the manager, and sent a text message to his mobile, saying that I was eager to receive his reply to my email. I received absolutely no response from the manager. Then, after arriving in Ethiopia, I called the hotel front desk, in order to arrange transportation from the airport. The person at the desk surprisingly insisted that I talked to the manager about this trivial issue, and gave me his mobile number. I called the number, and the person who answered the phone promised that the manager would call me back. Which he did not do – so I ended up paying for a taxi from the airport... The day before leaving the hotel, not having the best experience with making agreements with the hotel, I contacted the front desk twice to book and confirm my shuttle to the airport, making a point out of the fact that it was actually important for me that this worked. When I reported to the desk at the time agreed upon TWICE the day before, I was informed that there was no vehicle available to transport me, but that they could call a taxi for me.. Obviously I was not pleased with this, and in the end the hotel paid for the taxi that brought me to the airport with some delay. I found this frustrating – after all, if you cannot trust a company to communicate with you, what can you trust them to do?

::Worst hotel ever. I love ethiopia but wow this is a disgrace to the country. Looks nice from the inside but is pure garbage. DO NOT STAY HERE. 1. Water If ur lucky enough to have water it is never hot never. Not even lukewarm. In 7 days the water did not work 2 of the days. I was told the generator cannot warm the water. So its always cold. 2. Wifi Doesnt work 80% of the time. They turn off the router and disable it once too much data is used. 3. MASTER KEY given to every guest The card key they give out to guest is able to open every door. EVERY SINGLE DOOR CAN BE OPENED BY THE CARD KEY THEY GIVE OUT. They just put stickers on the card saying the room number. I tested it myself. Any card can open everydoor. DO NOT STAY HERE. Anybody can open your door if they ever had a key at landmark. They dont tell guests that the key system is broken but its clear they are aware of it. So they willingly give out Master keys to every guest. DO NOT STAY HERE. I WISH I COULD GIVE IT 0 STARS.
